Does the wideband location is important on a 2 stroke on the tuned pipe?

last year my wideband sensor was 3'' after the Y, and I'M not sure if the combustion is all effective, does it better to read the final AFR at the end on the tuned pipe?

I put mine in the can to average two pipes. Works just fine. I'm sure you could do the same or anywhere inbetween. As long as it gets adequate heat at lower rpm you should be fine. The exhuast moves somewhere around 250 ft per sec. so its gonna get there no matter where you put it.
