10" Alpha one Wheels

How can it. Its only cut to the length of the 153 tunnel with the stock return down piece that helps add structure to the tunnel. How could it possibly hit, otherwise every stock sled would hit

U will understand

Under full rear skid compression with no load on the front of the skid a 162 tunnel puts the rear turn down piece just out of reach of a 162 track paddle, with the paddles being able to kiss the top of the tunnel. I assume the 153 track and tunnel have the same relationship. Shortening the tunnel and leaving that piece pointed down leaves a very real potential of the track being able to grab it. I would at least pull the core out of the rear track shock shrader valve and fully cycle it to verify clearance.

imo the alpha uses 10" wheels because of the 3.5 pitch track. the smaller the pitch, less the benefit of bigger wheels. I think TKI makes 9", I might go that route to keep it off my tunnel. the track can bunch up and hit more while riding than you will observe in the shop.

Me and others have done with no issues. It isnt even close to touching.

My 14 with a 3in claw has never left track marks on the tunnel and i like riding wheelies with that sled. My 18 however, it hit and left plenty of marks. I pumped up the rear shock to 145 and it finally quit hitting. My Alpha at 125 has not left any marks on the tunnel. The 17-19's mtn cats, i am not sure i would put 10" wheels.
