09 Cylinder skirt failure with Fix Kit

My 2009 Dragon 800 went down on Monday with 3000 miles on it. I finally had it dialed in with all the mods recommended on here. It was working awesome.

I had the "fix kit" installed at 1900 miles in 2012. I think the "fix kit" extended the life of my engine, but my cylinder skirts were already stressed before the "fix kit" was installed.

My new plan is to rebuild the engine, use indy dan reinforced cylinders with the "fix kit" spacer, and arctic cat spec aftermarket cast pistons (spi/spx) I believe this will make a bullet proof engine.

Whats my options? My chassis has alot invested in it. I cant sell for much as is, and parting out is a huge time consuming hassle. For 2k I can have a solid engine.

IMHO..., piston replacement is required at 2000 mi. on aggressively ridden mtn. sleds. (all brands) Cheap insurance against catastrophic failure! 2 stroke of course.
