04 REV 800 Crank ??????

Hey guys thanks for all your advice and help on this subject.

Big John I just may tak you up on that offer. I will get back to you when i get back monday.

Thanks.

I have done the same engine two or three times and never seen ioflex break down. I'm not saying your wrong but ski-doo has been drilling cases for years and now they don't, they use isoflex, why? I often wondered but it seems to work and I have been doing engines since 1977.

they use it for emission reasons. I have seen stock motors loose pto bearings for lack of isoflex grease. By going back to the oiling its one less problem worry about.

My 02 had in the upper 3000 mile range when I got to tear it apart. Bought the sled new, the grease was gone in the pto bearings and very sparse in the mag side. IMO it wouldn't have made to many more rides. Our 06, 1600 miles had no grease in the pto bearings !!!:confused: Its amazing grease but I still feel that like all grease it breaks down. Like B.J. said its how they were assembled as to how long they go. Dino

So the engine doesn't use as much oil? So if you drill the hole to the outboard bearings do you have to increase the injection oil?

No

Theres more too it than just drilling a hole. Its well worth it IMO.
