Blue/Orange secondary spring on 02 700 RMK

I was wondering if anyone is running anything close to my setup and could offer some advice. Here's what I've got:

02 700 RMK 144 stock motor
19/43 gears
secondary-silver/blue, R8
primary-almond round, 10-58
3-6K ft. elevation

My question is: I have been told that the blue/orange spring with the R8 helix is the way to go with these sleds. If I go to this stiffer spring, how much weight will I have to add to get my RPMs where they need to be? I don't want to buy a bunch of different weights just to tune, so any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,
Ryan

I assume you are talking about replacing the sliver/blue with the blue/orange. If so, it isn't going to affect weights at all. The blue/orange can typically be used as a straight replacement for the silver/blue. It won't sag out nearly as fast as the silver/blue. About the only thing you may have to do is put it in one lower hole in the secondary.
