Is there an easy way to get the nut type things off the driveshaft on a 18 MC. I figured I'd just tap them with hammer and punch but wanted to see if anyone has an easier way. Thanks

If you have the socket that fit the square edge nuts on the later Mseries sleds its the same. Getting them off is one thing without the socket. Not sure how you'd get them back on and torqued to 100ft-lb without it.

Just swing as hard going on as off.... works for do it yourselfers everywhere.

I'm guilty of some do it yourself tactics myself! I might just pair this one with some safety wire to make sure the nuts don't get away if they back off! Seen enough pictures floating around of ones coming off and going through the clutches to know no one wants that.

When I read "Easy way to get your nuts off", I was expecting far more interesting responses.
