1995 xlt piped fuel octane required?

I had a 93 xlt with pipes and always ran 91 oct, I don't think 87 is going to protect you from detonation problems, if it's a RMK it already has higher compression so you would be asking for trouble.

Pretty sure that there was no such thing as a 95 xlt rmk. first year was 96 and yes they had higher compression from a thinner gasket. It probably would not detonate on 87 octane at any kind of elevation but a sea level it might.
