Ok - so the original driveshaft had improper tolerances, which requires a clamp.
But the new drive shaft has proper tolerances, yet still requires a clamp.
Which means that in truth, polaris has not delivered on the "lightweight driveshaft" which was promised when i snowchecked my 2013.
I have a feeling that we will start seeing driveshafts failing with the clamp by next year. IMO it's a bandaid, and if the tolerances are loose between the two pieces, eventually the inner part will wobble and strip out instead.
