Inside Your Trailer

If your like me and my riding buddys, after a good day of riding there is always Trailer time! If its having a cold beer, alil tweaking/tuning, swapin parts out, full motor tare down and build backup, to watching GoPro video's. I just want to see what's the insides of your trailers look like to get some good ideas what I could do to mine.

Oh man... this was a trip to the rabbit ears that we took 2 years ago. We decided to stay on the hill up there in the muddy creek lot. Absolutely had a blast. 44ft trailer with 4 extra feet of head room. Basically a sprinter trailer. Had a wood stove vented through the ceiling to heat and cook on. had a kiddie pool in the back with a tarp hung up to use as a shower. Generator, 55 gallons of fresh water. 80 gallon extra gas tank in the truck. tons of food and beer.

It was great. Spent 5 nights up there. Great times!

Nothing too elaborate here, just a few bins for throwing gloves/helmets, a fold up table in the nose, and a few hangers for bags, coats,shovel, broom, and superclamps, etc...

Thanks, it is a Cargomate SnowBird. I had it built last summer, and so far I am quite happy with it.

Is that your heater in the upper left counter? You fab that up urself?

Heater is in front cabinet, beside the amps, CD/MP3 player and converter.

Ducting runs along roof, with 3 vents distributing heat and ventilation along the trailer.

The front cabinet in the nose has one vent plumbed into it, works great to dry gloves, pants, boot liners, whatever.

The bottom of that cabinet is expanded mesh, for airflow.

As long as you don't jam it full and allow airflow, it dries stuff out rather quickly.

I have benches from Trails West on their way to my house right now that I will be installing this weekend...nothing like a place to sit down on and get ready!

What kind of floor is that in your trailer? I have rubber "horse" mats cut to fit mine but your's looks like tread plate pattern. Have you used it for sleds yet? Wondering how carbide treats it.

I can't remember what the product is called, but it is a tread plate pattern, adhesive backed applied directly to the wood flooring. I also went a couple feet up the walls with the rubber covered wood for durability.

I decided to put down Superglides as well, so there is zero wear on the floor right now. However I have moved my sled across where there were no glides, and it did not cut the flooring. I don't think I would want to do it that way full time though, and the rubber is slick when wet.

Here's a couple 'in progress' pics from the last 2 years. Definitely found out this trailer is a solid "Clean, 1 owner" after I started digging into it lol :crutch:

. It's really a pretty good place to hang especially at the races not that I have most of the amenities installed. Lights, stereo, bed in the gooseneck, couch for watching movies, table/chairs, and plenty of space for tools/gear/etc... Still need to add a few more brackets and lights in the shop area. Beats changing in the parking lot and sitting in the truck any day of the year.

Did the heater come in the trailer or did you buy it, If you bought it what brand is it and model? Thats what i want mine to end up looking like with eater and the rest of the goodies. Thanks bud sweet Rig ENVIOUS

I had most of the options installed at the factory. The furnace is a 40k suburban, same as they put in campers. Propane tank is mounted under the belly. Works good, for forced air. Ideally would have got in floor heat too, but thats going to be on the next trailer...

Yeah I never really thought of getting a camper heater. I bought a Mr. Heater wall mounted heater that works of Propane and at elevation its really hard to keep it lit. So we're going with a different set up this year.

I'm installing a 50 gallon fuel cell underneath the trailer. Might be an option for you.

That would be way cool! Only bad part is I just bought 4 of the Quick pour 5gal race cans. But some pictures would be cool to see how your doing it or did it. I take it u made the tank?
