WASHINGTON - Olympic NF Hosts Public Meeting Regarding ORV Riding In Calawah Watershed
The Olympic National Forest has announced the next meeting regarding potential future Off Road Vehicle (ORV) recreational opportunities in the Calawah watershed. The purpose of the public meeting is to discuss a proposed route for ORV riding in the Calawah Watershed.
Since the public meeting in August, the interdisciplinary team has identified and agreed upon a proposed route which incorporates feedback received from the last meeting. This proposed action will be the starting point for analysis in fiscal year 2012. The Forest Service plans to share maps of the route, discuss why the route was identified for further analysis, and outline the next steps.
Public Meeting Details:
Tuesday, November 8, 2011 5:30pm to 6:30pm
Washington DNR Building, Fir Room
411 Tillicum Lane
Forks, WA 98331
You know that old saying, "the world is run by those who show up?" We need more recreationists to "show up" when recreational access decisions are being made. This is your opportunity to show up and have a say in your recreational access.
