A Powerball polishing ball for a drill with a lil mothers or similar aluminum polish works real well.

if you want the mirror look from the begining you'll need to sand it first, i'd start with 1000 grit wet and work my way up to 1300, then compound the heck out of it and finish it with the powerball and mothers. your gonna spend a couple of hours AT LEAST on each side sanding, same with the top. what i do is just use the the powerball after each ride. overtime it will get better and better...
