I have a 99 sno pro w/144 with a 2000 ps 500 efi motor, D&D 700 big bore w/BB pipe on it, has ran flawles all last year and most of this year. It has a D&D racing fuel pressure regulator on it was running 47#s though it. Now when i start it the guage peaks at 60 (maxed out hitting the bar). It wont run past 7200 rpm, it was at 8300rpm. Still idles fine, mid range is a little rich and top is gargling.
The only things i can think of is an air bubble in the fuel rail, or something in the regulator valve (ice, dirt...). Also mag side was rinning brown, and pto was wet. Maybe a bad injector? It did this once before this year, but after a mile or so it ran right, last thing i want to do is turn down the pressure then have it drop again a kill the big bore.
