Picked a 98 Bearcat in great shape, tore it all apart, cleaned, tuned, and its running great. However, i'm getting a low end bog, with associated backfiring. I can feather the throttle and get the RPM's back up, and again, it runs great. Seems to be happening more frequently. I have only put about 80 miles on it since i bought it and fixed it up.
One possibility i have been told isthe crank seals going.
Any other ideas, or ways to narrow down the possible causes? Would a compresion test tell me if the seals are going?
