Am I crazy or there are no instructions that have the soft strut... So far any set up in the instructions or videos is so far off it's crazy... I keep lowering my rear strut more and more to stop trenching...it is looking like I will be almost between 2 to 3 inches lower then what was suggested... I have a 129 ss 2018.. last ride out I am down to sitting on the rear fender to not trench.... So I am close...

Try lowering the front skid shock to reduce trenching instead...

So lower the top mounting point to the lowest hole?

Which track does your 18 kit have? Didn't they start using the Camso DTS style half way through last season. I've seen the SS with the good track and the POS Maxtrack.

With the small track weight transfer and approach angle are important.
There is no big wide track that can lift the front end up on the snow.

Move the rider back on the bike ( bars and pegs )I like a lower shock strut and ride hight , but you need to balance that with the fork. Stock set up is tall and you will need to lower the frond end in the forks to work properly ( attack angle on the skid) If you lower the rear you have to let out the front to maintain the correct ski skid angles.
While a stiffer front shock helps weight transfer it also makes the bike trench more , a softer front skid shock allows the skid to compress a bit and walk up on the snow easier.
I have a aro 120 right now very similar Issues the balance point where they work perfect is small but the smaller narrower tracks handle nicer over all.

Dropping the skid was spectacular.... I also raised my forks 1/8 of an inch... So much more playful and trenching is almost gone... I am down. To suspension fine tuning from what I can see there was no downside to this...

Yes correct .. I did soften the front shock on the skid..to 3 clicks from the softest.. I am going to play with that more next time ... Might also drop my strut another 1/4 inch

220 ... 10 3/4 I was at 11 so I will see if I keep going if it keeps getting better.... This is on a yz250 2 stroke so I don't know if that makes a difference... But I still have about 2 inches if threads left..

For sure you can feel the difference between the wide track and the 10 inch and it makes you work harder... But the nimbleness you gain is worth it in my book...
