Farmers almanac says warm n dry. :face-icon-small-sho BUT BUT saw other farmers almanac stating above normal snow with average temps

The weather forecasters are saying this is the worst drought in 500 years for California

Another storm gonna spool up for time period 22-24 Sept AZ gonna get pounded 4 plus inches h2O. South east Colorado suppose to get 2 inches rain. SoCAL gonna get bout an inch.

Hiya Don, Looking like Cal could get it good this season. Hoping Winter finally shows up in the Sierras for all of you.

Mike

Thank you Mike !

Reading 3 phases of El Nino where moisture will come from ... Left over tropical storms till Halloween, then shifting till New Years and then full out pineapple express.

Suppose rain / snow / snail near Tahoe Thursday thru Monday on and off 1-5 OCT with snow flurries to 8500 feet.

Accumulation above 9500feet.

Total H2O 1-2 inches around TAHOE

Looks like your area mostly clear BUT Sawtooth and Yellowstone area gonna get some moisture.

How is your new home ?

Met a union guy in Kernville like you who said he works up in AK 4 months a years and pays for his 8 months in CALI.

In the central Sierra Nevada, where mountain snowpack flows into statewide drinking supply come spring, it would take 2 1/2 to three times the average annual precipitation to balance the snowpack deficit created by the drought, said Kevin Werner, NOAA's director of western region climate services. The wettest year on record in that region, 1983, brought only 1.9 times the average annual precipitation, Werner said.

Snowing at 9000 feet Sun 4 Oct at Sherman area in the Sequoias.

Main storm still off in the ocean and a low pressure system from land in Canada to come down and bring all the moisture inland and off to mostly Nevada Arizona St George.

Looks like some pretty big storm cells 11AM on WEST slopes of Sierras going between Bishop and Tahoe !

It is estimated up to a foot at 8000 feet and 1-3 feet at 9000 feet by 10 AM TUESday morning Whitney thru Donner !!

There is a NASTY storm cell from MERCED to Fresno & Oakhurst to the Ocean .... I pray it makes it above 7000 feet cause if it does !!!!!!!!
