Hey all, Thinking of coming to Shasta area. Have a cabin in Ft. Jones and have never ridden in the area. I see Deer Mt snow park on the way down, Medicine Lake also I believe. How does one get to the Eddies? By the lake siskiyou road . How are the riding conditions etc etc.
thanks Cda Yakima Wa

went up to the eddies today, we just went up to gumboot and dicked around there for a bit, we were breaking trail all the way up there. to get out there all you have to do is take the central mt shasta exit and follow it all the way to lake siskiyou. unload where they stopped plowing the road and take off from there. it was pretty nice up there today, its got a decent base under it, and lots of powder off the back side of gumboot. when are you planning to come down this way?

If you've got a cabin in the Fort Jones area, you will want to unload and access the eddys from Kangaroo Lake. From there you can head east into cabin meadows, bull lake, cement cliff lake. Much closer. When we refer to the eddys it's a very large area. It spans from Castella to Callahan and even further. You'd need a lot of gas and daylight to cover them in a day.

The area number9t explained is about a 2 hour drive from Ft. Jones.

Let us know when you're heading this direction.
