I see lots on how to build the tester and how to set the throtle bodies, but how do you set the tester up if you don't have the proper connector? And is it better to test the sensor or go right from the ecu?

I used the alligator clips to connect and tested right @ the sensor

i bought an extra tps pigtail from babbitts when i made mine makes the job way easy. will take a pic of my tester. just got done testing and setting my tps before i reinstall the throttle bodies.
like BD said..when i bought the updated TPS harness....i used my "old" harness (after i replaced the wires in the old harness) and used it on the TPS tester...simple plu-n-play now...

yes and you can adjust the .93v setting for altitude. that is for sea level .95v for 3-8000 feet and .97v for 8000+

when you first hook up the leads on the sensor before you move anything, should you have a reading on the multi-meter? I can't get this tester to work. which leads do I put where on the sensor pins?
