We have a 97 500 summit that has idling issues.

The carbs have been gone through several times and new pilot jets installed. The sled starts great and the primer will keep it running through warm up, but after a couple of minutes if you turn away it will load up and quit. Restarting it is near impossible as it is now flooded.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

other notes
all fuel/vaccum lines have been replaced and new plugs installed
someone mentioned the needles and seats, but not sure how to verify if they are good or bad
The float is set to the spec in the manual.

You can do a test on the needle and seat but for the expense I would just pony up the $15 each and replace them. Don't get the generic ones, buy the Mikuni combo or just get them through your Ski-Doo dealer.

check your primer, they can keep sucking fuel in carbs ,easiest way to ck them is to pinch the fuel line going to carbs from the primer after you start it up

Thanks for the ideas. We will check those out.

Does anyone know the process for eliminating the HAC and what main jets should be?

Would we need to change the pilots, needles/position and nozzles?

Someone locally mentioned an update for the carbs on this sled, but can not find anything in regard to it. Specifically float levels and pilot sizes.

All fixed....

turns out the previous owner had the hoses to the HAC hooked up wrong. What a difference that makes.

Would not have known until we came across a picture someone had posted.
