I got a 1998 xcf 440 a couple of days ago. I was wondering how much hp it puts out. And also how it would stack up against my 1989 indy 400 in a race. Thanks

Okay. I have made 2 other threads on two other forum sites one said 55 HP other said 65 HP. I guess I won't find out til winter

Yeah, I might be low-balling on the HP output. I don't know if I would worry about a # but rather that it runs good.

The XCF was probably tuned to meet the 56hp rule that was out there at the time. It is no competition for a nicely tuned 400.
