'97 700, 4700 miles, bone stock except for a set of psi twins. Somewhere around 3000 miles I put a camoplast 156"x2" on it. This thing always thought it was an 800, regularly would outclimb, out run, and just generally embarrass most 800's. Two years ago now it finally let go and has been sitting on my bench ever since, today I tore it down and just like the 800 it thought it was it snapped the crank in two. Everything else on this engine is in excellent shape, the reeds are flawless, cylinders have some crosshatch left, the pistons are good, this thing had a lot of miles left in her. Here's a few pics of a polaris 2 piece crank. :face-icon-small-hap

I put a 151 challenger on my 97 and it too has spanked a few 8's. Definitely an arm stretcher. That's too bad about the crank.

I've got a '00 that I built for the wife. Fresh rebuild, SLP pipe and y-pipe, Sno-Stuff can (sounds great, but too loud), SLP cheater head, v-force reeds, bottle, gutted airbox, great clutching..... my riding buddies call it the "Chainsaw", cause it is so crisp and snappy..... Sled is a blast to ride.

BTW, I have a '99 assembled bottom-end that I was saving as a spare, but may be willing to part with.......

Thanks for the offer of the bottom end but I replaced the engine and sold the sled to a buddy awhile ago. I had the engine sitting on the bench for to long just being in the way and finally tore it down last week. I'm not rebuilding it, in the foreseeable future anyway, it went in a box and out to the barn with the rest of the "stuff"

No worries, I have an interesting swap going into my '98 as we speak. :face-icon-small-win It does have a 159 x 2.4 :face-icon-small-hap
