oil pump adjustment

Got a 2001 700 rmk, just bought, has a new throttle cable did double check the part numbers it is the right one. the oil pump arm is too far advanced, can't adjust it back anymore. burned a quart of oil to a little over a 1/4 was in alot of deep powder, breaking trail but it seem a little excessive. i'm all about a little extra oil to help, but really not that much. any way of reclocking it or maybe it's just stuck wide open anyway of checking that.

the marks are now off about 1/4 inch, i moved the adjustment nut to the lower side of the bracket. it still burns i think too much oil, but better than before. about 3/4 of a quart for about 30 miles.
