with the older m1000 engine mounts updating to 2010-11 mounts, does this change the clutch offset to the different (2010)spec? if not, what makes the clutches align different between the years?

to change the offset, you need to have the back of the secondary machined , this will allow you to use the 1.057 (2010 spec) alignment bar. not sure where you live, but if you are close to Coeur d' alene, i know a guy that is doing them for around 40.00! let me know if i can help!

Whats different between the years. Just better mounts? And this requires a different offset? I machined the secondary, but im curious what else is different to require a 1/8 inch difference in offset!

I believe beginning in model year 2010 Arctic Cat engineering decided the 1.507 offset was a better set up. They achieved this by modifying the secondary to move in closer to the gearcase. To achieve this on the 2009 and older models you have to machine the secondary to allow it to be moved in far enough to get the 1.507 measurement.

I've only measured the mag side motor mount, but yes, it has a different offset and a harder durometer than the previous mounts. I've got a picture of the change in offset but I would suspect changing over all the mounts would offset the motor to the new position.
