Okay, a couple of questions for ya...

1. What is, and where can I get a good service manual for my '05 RMK 900?

2. How do I remove the power valves to clean.

If you look in the 900 how to stickies at the top there should be a link to where you can download the manual. As for cleaning the valves pull the cap, remove the spring, remove the nut and washer that holds the bellow in and removed the hex head bolts that hold the valve base to the cylinder and off they come. Check over your valves and make sure there are no cracks in them and clean them with a nice copper wire brush. I found a mix of seafoam and carb cleaner works really well. Get gaskets and put it back on in the reverse order. If you have stock springs I would recommend getting the yellow valve springs, seems to help the motor out just a tad more.

Good luck and have fun!!

Thanks, I thought that's all their was to it, but I got scared when I thought I had to pry them off. Better to ask simple question, to cause a stupid mistake. Thanks again

I forgot to ask what elevation you are riding at. My setup may not work for you if you are higher. I forgot about that till just now haha

Would you be willing to guide me to a "better" exhaust valve spring on my 05 900 running 8-12k elevation?

Thank you!
