So I want to LIGHTEN up my 24 Turbo Summit and make her more NIMBLE...

This what a fellow Grass Race racer told me once,if your looking for weight reduction save your money and loose 10lbs off your body weight,it’s a win all the way around.
While it's always good to be in better shape, this is only true in a straight line. Maneuvering a light weight sled takes less energy and lets you ride harder for longer throughout the day.

that has been my own first hand experience as well.

I also looked at this, the hood is just too much for me anyhow...the exhaust maybe but man I sure like my quiet stock can. I have a turbo and I have a NA and last winter 25 days on the NA and only 3 on the turbo...could have maybe done 5 ish but If its not chest deep I prefer the NA...just more nimble for me and easier to ride and slay trees for me anyhow. The old days when it used to snow 3 ft over nite seem to be gone latley

You will get NO ARGUMENT from me on any of those points.
The vast majority of the time I rode in West and IP there was just NO NEED for the Turbo at all.
And the NA is absolutely EASIER to ride than the turbo from a Weight/Energy standpoint.
BUT...
In every single case, there were always "MOMENTS" during the course of the day's ride that it was FUN to have the Turbo to lean into, even if only for just a few seconds here and there.

Does that justify the extra weight and fatigue?
Probably not, but then again, I ride for the pure joy of the sport, and those blips on the turbo add a LOT of joy to this old man's day on the mountain.

As for the Can.
Also agreed.
I have ZERO INTEREST in a LOUD Can.
But I have a whole lotta interest in losing that 10lbs over the skis if I can and still maintain whats left of my abused hearing!
