Im sure someone has thought of it, those that rode a slash is it worth the hassle? Im running a mtntk cooler so factory coolers arent an issue. The forum has gotten stale, just throwin something out there

But is it worth it over just cutting the tunnel

I wouldn’t.......

But I already own the Tig welder, have 18 years experience in welding and fabrication, have the material in my garage........

Probably an uninspired opinion though.

My 8” tunnel cut axys is super fun.

I’m getting ready to cut mine. What did you notice for enhancements?

A narrow/ tapered bumper helps also.
I have a bmfab bumper as well i can cut a few more inches off i think i might do that this summer. I ran a tunnel pack last year i think it may have hurt me cooling with that part of the tunnel covered

Cut 10" off our 16's and added 5' tunnel cooler from a doo with after market react front end it's mucho fun and nimble....if / when doing again I'll install the cooler before welding the end back in ...
New sleds are great except for the $$$$$

I plan to use this version.
I have one sitting in my garage, ive thought about using it, but with the mtntk cooler you dont get the ice build up on the running boards

Are you running the stock cooler and the mtntk or just a mountain tech?

For those who like the idea of a shorter tunnel but can't face the cost or worry the work of cutting it, we have found these to be a huge improvement.

The TKI bumper really shortens up the sled and it's lifted out of the way so it does not drag. Much easier to find the bumper in deep snow too.

They are strong too.
