Curious just how far above sea level a snowmobile has made it. I'll take both an official and non official (verifiable) source. Just interested in general I suppose.

My best contribution would be the pictures/proof I've seen of certain individuals who almost rode to the top of one of the 14,000 ft peaks here in Colorado. You know who you are :face-icon-small-coo

Lets start it out simply...

Colorado has some pretty high elevation riding...

What is the highest elevation that you hear of sledders riding in the USA.
With Breckenridge at 9600 ft... what about around there??

As I said someone got to about 13,800 feet in Colorado near gray's and Torrey peaks. I guess at that point it comes down to if people are going higher internationally. I presume

I live in the area. We usually start around that altitude. Vail pass is over 10k at the parking lot. You can drive a car over 14k in a couple spots in Colorado, so it's certainly doable.

I've been well over 13k on my sleds several times!

I would guess some should not confess where they have been. I can say i have been over 13,800. A ptek did great, injection is better.
In the seventies, it was an adventure to hit 11500. Those old sleds truly showed the purported 7% loss per thousand.
