Water pump shaft grease zerk???

oil delete

i installed a bdx oil deelte on my 1000 , i ran a clear hose from the bottom of the case where the oil injection hose connected and fed it up by where the oil tank used to be and use a small plastict syringe with 2 stroke oil in it and just keep the level in the hose good where you can see it a nd gravity feeds the pump oil ! , no issues!!

You need to read these things people are posting. It doesn't seen like your reading what people are saying. He said the BOTTOM of the case. Look at the picture I posted of my set up!
The bolt on the middle is the factory banjo bolt, that the factory installed , that lubricates the center section. On a normal sled that banjo bolt is fed oil by the oil pump. When you do a delete. Your removing the oil pump. Therefore no more oil to that banjo bolt. This banjo bolt is usually replaced by a grease zerk. So on your sled there should be a grease zerk where the oil pump used to be and where the banjo bolt used to be.

It looks like your previous owner drilled a hole in the block off plate and used that to feed lube into the crank case.

Don't bother with the zerk. Unless you feel like buying another delete kit/block off plate, just run it like you have it. You do not need a zerk fitting anywhere.

Fill that turkey baster up with oil. Pump it down. And when it snows just keep pemixing your gas/oil and forget about all that other crap.

Your snowmobile is fine.

If it were me the syringe wouldn't be anywhere under my hood. There are cleaner and better ways to accomplish lubricating the pump shaft. I'm honestly concerned if you have even pre mixed your fuel!?!? You first post said that you want to do a delete. Not that you already had one!! For the love of god please tell me you Havnt ran straight gas through this sled!!!

At least if your mother ever looses her turkey baster you can just go out to the garage and let her borrow the one on your sled........

Ok. This is good.

Now it just up to you if you want to keep it the way it is and run it. Or change it up.

Not have a cooking utensil under the hood is the first thing that comes to mind.
Obviously what you have is working. If your a guy that says "if it works don't fix it" then leave it. If your a guy that wants to have a nice looking, clean look under the hood then think about changing it.
