New TS Skid and Skinz front suspension?

I just installed the new TS skid on my 2010 Nytro it also has Skinz front suspension. Any of you guy's running this set up? If so what psi are you running in your center and rear shock's? Mine are the Fox. I weigh 230 with gear.

Use the setting that Allen laid out in the direstions for the rear skid. They provide a good starting point. Then you can adjust them to suite your personal needs. After all it comes down to personal prefernce anyway.

You may also need to run a bit higher on the rear shock to keep the front end down.

I had it set the same as my Yamaha light weight skid 125 center 145 rear, but i tried my front shocks at 50. It handled terrible. I normally run my front at 80. A guy at the snow show was telling me he runs at 50. not good for me. I was playing around with center and rear all day. Im going back to 80 in front and see what happens. Just wondering where you guy's found the sweet spot.

I'm about the same size as you are and I run my front shock around 75, sometimes more depending on conditions. I usually set my rear to 145 and adjust once or twice during the day. I also have the shims installed because I'm boosted, and it holds the front down almost too well sometimes.

How did your lightweight Yamaha run at those pressures? I dont have any long climbs here and would like the front end to come up a bit

Yeah I had it out. Put about 60 miles on it so far but have only been able to ride some old roads and trails due to the snow. Lakes are freezing up nice now so I might be able to get to a few small climbs this weekend. Handles really good on the trail and the ascent track hooks up nice. I am running 140 and 90 psi in the track shocks.

If the steering feels heavy add more psi to the center shock. How does it handle compared to your pro?

Steering does feel quite a bit heavier than the pro. The weight difference in the chassis is definately noticeable. Havent tried it in any decent snow yet so I might be able to tell a little better by the weekend.

I actually live in Newfoundland in eastern Canada. We don't have any long climbs here, mostly boondocking and tree riding. Elevation is between 1500 and 2500 ft.

I have the same setup as you and I am running 75lbs in front shocks, 155lbs in rear shock on skid and 5lbs more than was recommended in front shock on skid because I wanted a little lift on the skis for tree riding. I am also boosted.

I finally have this set up dialed in. Time to ditch the Simmons gen 3 Ski's going back to stock. I think the wide Ski works for OEM front ends but not so good on the new foreword kits.

It's interesting to hear the you think the wide ski doesn't work as well with the forward front ends. I have not got my sled out since the install of the Concept. I have the 8" Powder Hounds. What does it do or not do with the wider skis? Anybody else find the same issues?
