Riser height on Nytro.

Anyone know off the top of their head what is the semi-max height of riser you can throw on the nytro with wildchilds relocation on and using stock bars/cables?

I think I was told 5 inch riser is pretty much the max height with that set up and stock cables.

Tues.

I am running a monsterworks 8 inch riser with that setup. You have to re-route some things to make it work, but i have not had any problems yet!!

Doh I was working on the sled today and forgot to measure. 8 inch riser would be nice if it fits.

I just added a OFT relocater and kept the stock riser which I will replace later. The rerouted cables are almost maxed out. I would not go more than 1 inch larger with the relocater.

My relocater pushed the bars up and froward 3 1/2". Its almost perfect!

Oh yeah I have the wildchild relocator kit instaalled too!!

im new here and just bought a 2010 nytro mtx and was wondering if i put a 30 degree 8" riser from ole's machine if the cables will fit. i have the stock bars(1" bend). i bought a 6 and am not sure if its enough. any info will help thanx

I am running the OFT steering relocator and the 8 inch monster works riser as well and you definatley have to reroute stuff but it fits fairly easy.

this maybe a dumb question but ,the oft steering relocater, what is it and where does it move the post to? is it lots of work to do?

It moves the upper part of steering shaft forward which in turn moves the handle bars forward and up a bit. On some of the photos you can see that in stock all the cables are infront of the post. After the kit is installed most of the cables run in behind the post bc you push the post so far ahead.

I install the wildchild kit in about 30 min.

Worth every penny IMO. But I would still like to put on different risers as well.

In addition to what Tuesday said above, the Nytro steering post Relocator from OFT Racing replaces both the upper and lower plastic OEM steering blocks with billet aluminum/oilite bearing blocks as part of the kit.

I have been looking at adding a T converter and risers but I am not 100% sure if I will need an offset adapter to be able to use stock bars. I am sure there are others that have done this and can confirm whether it is required or not?

RSI quote:

riser is $69.95 and adaptor is 19.95, to use your stock bars you need our offset adaptor that is $29.95

So does anyone make a riser that can pivot at the bottom of the riser and top of the steering post?? I have the OFT relocater coming but would like the ability to move it exactly where I want it, coming from a XP I think I might want to go even a little more forward.

thanks

Yes you need a pivot adapter.

Measured my stock riser today about 6 inches. I plan on ordering a riser setup next week.

Is there anyone else that makes a pivot adapter?? I don't know if I like how far that one comes out..... I know I am picky :D
