Just wondering if anybody is running the 046 belt on the 08's with the 3 post primary. My stock 060 is about toast after 350 miles so I am looking for cheaper alternatives. I also see that there is a least one after market option has anybody came up with an alternative to paying $150 a belt.

I know of 4- 07 M1000,that run the 046 belts and no major issues, but to riding buddies have 08- M1000,and they run the 060 belts and they both blow up their first stock belts at the same time on the same hill, they went to the 046 belts and have had better luck now.Maybe the 3 post to the 4 post clutch, heat, etc, who knows?

Mine is an 08 and I needed to gain some RPM so I used stock weights with the 046.. IMO the 046 belts seems to work better and last longer as long as your nice to it.. I blow them down trail..

you will see about 300 rpms more. I always take them both, set the clutch for the 060, and use the 046 when you tach starts to fall in odd snow conditions.
