Guys that are running 900 cat based bigbores what are you running for recoils? stock, stock with upgraded rope, or some other combo. thanks

4zsnow has the strong recoil ropes. Some guys run 5.5mm mountain climbing rope. Best thing to do is put is put a recoil for a 1000 on it. You have to make an adapter plate to mount it but they are a bigger diameter and pull over a lot easier. I know at least one guys sells a kit for it and some guys just make their own. I can't remember right now the guy with the kit but if you look at the old forum under arctic cat you will see it.

We've made one adapter to put an M-1000 recoil on one, and we are using SLP high strength rope on our stock 900's. The M-1000 recoil pulls over much easier first thing in the morning when they are cold, but the rest of the day it doesn't seem to be a whole lot easier, but that could be differences between the two engines also. We're building a second adapter to the M-1000 for our 900 twin based triple that we're making.
