I have rk tech secondary boone docker nitrous 45 hp nozzles. I pulls like a train down the road and on hard snow. I get into powder and it pulls like a 120. I cant figure out why i loose track speed in the powder, only getting like 45 50 in the powder. My secondary has a blue spring and 38 helix. Im running 7700 rpms off the juice and 8100 on it. What are you guys running on your secondary?
What's the rate of the blue spring (130lbs - what)? The problem is your secondary from the looks of it. Unlikely its your rollers, though you may have wrecked them. The stock rollers are fine, they just wear out faster than the harder versions available, ESPECIALLY if your clutching is off and you have a lot of heat!
I would imagine that a stiffer secondary spring would help your issues. Are your rpm's steady, or do they fall off in the deep stuff? Your helix looks decent for belt grip, but its likely you aren't getting a fast enough back shift to compensate for the increased load in the deep stuff. Why not throw in the green sno-pro AC Torsion spring and see how it works? They are only $20. Tune one thing at a time and take notes. It doesn't take much at all to improve the m1000's clutching over stock.
One last thing - are you running an 08? The softer belts in the 08 change things over the harder belts of 07 stock. Move the secondary as far in as possible too - stock alignment sucks.
How's the belt/clutch heat after a long pull? Pretty hot i bet... maybe your 38* helix is offering good grip with the 08 belt (if its an 08), but your softly sprung secondary is doesn't have enough spring signal to pull the weights back in your primary? If this the case, your primary is slipping pretty good especially if you are keeping your rpms up. Basically, your clutching is very unbalanced...
Sorry about this being long, but if all the rest of this good - how is your motor at WOT??? You could be running rich or too lean? You are running 92 oct right? SEEYACOP's friend (my friend too) burned his 07 down because he didnt use 92 AND it was likely too lean as well... Just something to think about. Cross 'em all off until you find the truth.
Hope all this helped!
