News

Three-time ISOC National Snowbike champion and two-time X-Games Snowbike medalist, Jesse Kirchmeyer will be returning to the Southside, Polaris, Timbersled, FXR team for the 2022 race season. Kirchmeyer will kick-off the season racing at Canterbury Park on Jan. 7, 2022, in Shakopee, Minnesota. The Amsoil Snocross Championship tour will take place from Jan. 7 to March 26, for a total of 8 races (16 rounds). You can find the race schedule here

Kirchmeyer, a New York native, has been training and residing in Aurora, Minnesota, since November 2021. He is spending 10 to 12 hours a day riding and training at the Scheuring Speed Sports Compound. Former pro-Motocross and Supercross racer, Gavin Gracyk is in Kirchmeyer’s corner acting as his fitness coach. The racer is dedicated to his training and fitness in the hopes of a fourth championship. Kirchmeyer’s past national championships were won in 2019, 2020 and 2021.

“I’m super excited to get racing in 2022. I am working full-time with my training and riding to ensure podium wins and hopefully a fourth championship, that would be pretty cool,” says Kirchmeyer.

Kirchmeyer is supported and backed by leading snowbike and motorsport brands in the industry. He has been a part of Southside Racing since 2018, FXR since 2019 and Timbersled/Polaris since 2020. He is pleased to be an advocate for the strong supporters in his career.

"I'm incredibly fortunate to have some of the best people in the industry helping me out. Having these brands behind me pushes me to ride the best I can at every race," the young racer says.

For the 2022 season, Kirchmeyer’s father, Jeffery, will be assisting him as his full-time mechanic. The Kirchmeyer family have been actively involved with their son’s 18-year racing career and plan on supporting him in any way they can.

All 2022 Amsoil Championship Snocross races will be broadcast live through Flosport, a subscription video streaming service dedicated to sports and on-demand viewing of competitive events. If you can’t watch the races live, they will be recorded and set to broadcast on a tape-delayed program schedule through CBS Sports Spectacular. Click here for the television schedule.
