Shakopee, Minn. – The PIRTEK Snocross National Presented by Country Cat, one of PIRTEK USA’s major sponsorships of the year, is set for Jan. 3-5 at Canterbury Park in Shakopee, MN.

The signature race is part of the AMSOIL Championship Snocross Powered by RAM, which began Nov. 29 and runs at various locations around the United States until the closing race on March 22. PIRTEK is returning for the sixth consecutive season as a corporate sponsor.

Snocross is a competition involving high-performance snowmobiles, a kind of motocross on snow. The racers circle a specially prepared track, hitting ramps that send the vehicles skyward in sprays of powder.

“The whole competition is a great time for everybody, but the signature event is always special for us,” said Georganne DeSeve, PIRTEK USA marketing manager. “Every year, we’re excited to be part of this event that bears the PIRTEK name.”

The only franchise brand of its kind in the United States, PIRTEK USA specializes in hydraulic and industrial hose services through its locations throughout the country. PIRTEK USA team members are available 24/7 to provide onsite repairs to hydraulic and industrial hoses, thanks to the company’s specially equipped Mobile Service Vehicles. PIRTEK boasts more than 400 franchise locations in 23 countries around the world, including 91 in the United States.

During the title race, PIRTEK’s branding will appear on all the snowmobiles and on track signage. The screen at the snocross track will also feature PIRTEK video advertisements and conspicuous PIRTEK imagery.

As in all the snocross season races, the track groomer will display the PIRTEK logo prominently. The vehicle is the inspiration for “Gary the Groomer,” a digital media character that appears on the Snocross.com website. Fans engage with Gary on Twitter (@GaryTheGroomer), Facebook and Instagram. On race days, he will report track condition updates on livestream and social media.

In connection with the annual signature competition, PIRTEK is working with the Chris Kyle Frog Foundation to treat a few couples to a special Date Night Out. Created by Taya Kyle to honor the life and legacy of her famous “American Sniper” husband, Chris Kyle, the organization is dedicated to supporting families of first responders and military veterans.

A related part of the racing event will be Operation Vet NOW’s Vet Village, which provides information to military veterans about mental health, career paths and programs to help them transition back into civilian life. PIRTEK will be on hand to explain the logistics of franchise ownership to interested veterans.
