SSCC Certified

One very important feature of the SnoScoot that can’t be overlooked is that this new vehicle SSCC certified for official and legal use on public trails. That means junior can ride along with mom and dad on the snowbelt’s trail systems. Junior isn’t relegated to the backyard or neighbor’s field to enjoy the sled. That right there increases the appeal of the SnoScoot as it can access a much bigger playground than non-SSCC-certified vehicles.

“A carbureted 200cc 4-stroke generator engine that is fan-cooled and modified for the SnoScoot application was our choice for power at just more than 9 hp, as it is first of all, inexpensive to build and most of all boasts proven reliability.” said Blaicher.

This little powerplant, which comes from Yamaha’s generator/power washer group, features Transistorized Electronic Ignition (TCI) and a flywheel magneto producing 8 amps of electrical power at 3000 rpm, enough power to supply the headlight, taillight and hand and thumb warmers simultaneously. It also has an easy pull recoil starter with a camshaft actuated automatic compression relief mechanism to assist those little guys and gals starting their own snowmobile.
