¦ Hi/Low Speed Charge Coils (photo F)
Harness: Three-prong black harness with one black/red wire, one green/red wire and one brown/white wire.
Test points: Touch the red meter lead to the black/red wire, then touch the black meter lead to the green/red wire to test coil one. Touch the red meter lead to the brown/white wire, then touch the black meter lead to the green/red wire to test coil two.
Proper reading: 8.8-13.2 ohms for both
Remember, when disconnecting and reconnecting the battery, connect the correct positive and negative sides. Even the best can forget or get distracted and find themselves with an exciting spark display.
