A new design concept in snowmobile helmets promises to make an impact for Canadian riders.
Taking some of the benefits from modular-style helmets that just didn’t go over big in the West, the CKX Titan helmet incorporates a retractable and removable muzzle that allows the rider to control his way of breathing and to be able to speak more easily with others with the helmet on.
Where the modular helmet design basically resembled a full-face helmet that would lift up above your head to expose your face, the CKX Titan is patterned after the MX helmet design for goggles. The front muzzle detaches and drops down, exposing your mouth and chin without the necessity of removing your goggles.
The CKX Titan is a lightweight fiberglass helmet designed to facilitate air flow through the helmet to allow adjustable front port venting. It is also designed to accommodate Go-Pro camera mounts. The Titan helmet is only available in Canada. For more information go to www.ckxgear.com.
