About the Job: The online content publisher is responsible for generating/creating and posting quality content for snowest.com, dirttoysmag.com and snowbikeworld.com.
Applicant must:
Have riding experience with snowmobiles and ATVs/UTVs.
Live in or be willing to move to Idaho Falls, Idaho, to be a part of our team.
Understand journalism and possess clear writing skills. The applicant will write articles on a regular basis.
Understand social media. The position will require a strong understanding of Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, etc.
Be technically proficient. The candidate will be required to maintain a consistent look and feel throughout our web properties. Experience with website maintenance and posting is a plus.
Communicate well. The applicant will be working with a variety of staff and outside contributors each day, and work directly within the industry gathering content and conducting interviews.
Be organized. You will have deadlines all day, every day.
Be reliable. You will not be micro managed.
Be willing to put in the time. A job in this sport is not 9-to-5. You will also be required to work multiple weekends throughout the year.
Be positive. This is a demanding job at times, but it’s pretty amazing at the same time. You will have the opportunity to be creative and be a part of the SnoWest / Dirt Toys editorial team, and work directly with our staff, industry insiders and manufacturers. This is an office job, but we get out and enjoy these sports and you will spend a lot of time riding and interacting.
Requirements:
College B.A. Degree in Journalism, Public Relations, or Communications is preferred.
Photography skills/experience is preferred.
Video shooting/editing skills are preferred.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience with Adobe Suite and working in the admin panel and CMS of websites is preferred
