Recently, I brought our long-term Yamaha test sled, a sweet Turbo SR Viper L-TX LE, back to Yamaha and grabbed a long lunch with Yamaha’s Marketing Manager, Wade West. As we started swapping stories, he mentioned that May 1, 2016, would mark his 20-year anniversary in the snowmobile business. Prior to working for others in the industry and finally for Yamaha, Wade worked for
American Snowmobiler under then-editor Jerry Bassett. We talked about Wade’s time at
AmSnow, his snowmobile consulting business and, of course, the cool things he’s done at Yamaha. I asked him if he’d be willing to share some highlights of his time in the business, and here is what he sent us.
