What is an ECU Reflash?
Stock snowmobiles come with an ECU that meets the manufacturer’s performance and safety requirements. An ECU performs many tasks, including but not limited to fuel delivery during acceleration and deceleration, throttle response, boost delivery (if the sled has a turbo), limiting engine revs, etc. All these specifications are programmed into the ECU when the vehicle is manufactured.

An ECU reflash is the reprogramming of those factory specifications – and, in some cases, limitations – to improve performance. This is not something a novice should tinker with in the garage. It should only be done by a professional with the proper equipment and experience.

D&D Racing’s SlingShot ECU reflash changes fuel delivery and ignition maps, removes factory top-speed limiters, increases rev limits, optimizes boost mapping and more. Once you hit WOT, you’ll notice your RPMs crank up to around 8400 compared to the 7800 max of a stock ZR 9000 El Tigre … that is, if you’re brave enough to look down at the gauge!
