Finally, it’s our turn
In middle to late March, we finally got together with the Boyesen crew and did some testing of our own. Part of our test was riding a stock Ski-Doo 800 E-TEC. After a short break and a quick Rad Valve change, we rode the same 800 E-TEC machine with the newest Rad Valve system.

Wow! What a difference over stock, the new Boyesen Rad Valve changed the power curve to the better. The new Rad Valve smoothed out the bottom and gave the 800 E-TEC a stronger pull thoughout the mid range and all the way through to the top. This new Rad Valve really changed the characteristics of this motor.

During our test ride we stopped on the side of the trail and talked about this whole process in retrospect, and what steps were taken. We asked Boyesen’s Snowmobile rep Joe Nocentino, “What did you do for those who bought the early version Rad Valves?”

“We offered their money back or they could have the new and improved system no charge. We also looked after any of the dealers for their labor costs that they may have had,” Nocentino replied.

Now that’s incredible! We all remarked with approval and had no further questions. I thought to myself; it’s too bad that not every manufacturer takes this same approach when dealing with customers.

We were blessed with an extended snow last season and we had a chance to finally put this and several more rides in. We were lucky to find some great snow conditions to do some extreme field testing with Boyesen; it was a lot later then planned, but certainly worth waiting for.
