IMG_0953.JPGIt followed m home about a month ago. Friend called up and said a mutual distant friend has a greasy triple he wanted to sell and has a long track upgrade to a 155 for it. Sweet! I've wanted a greazy triple for some time now. Sent me photos and thought I could fix her. She runs and drives. She was in need of some TLC but just put the majors finishes on it tonight and expecting to wrap it up in the next few days with just a few odds and ends. Prior owner stuck a set of Walker Evans off a 22 Matrix under it and was also going to shove a matrix tunnel, rail, track and marry that somehow into the drive system. I drove it, checked it out and thought sure I'll go through her and do a few things to spruce her up a bit. Make the wife a good first sled and if she won't ride it I will. Great to bomb the trails on one around home instead of the 165 boost. So I hauled her home and went to work on her.

Looks like someone shot the ski, It was cupped so bad I had to cut it off with a grinder.

Seat was in pretty good shape but needed a new cover. The XLT seat was swapped for the original at some point. Foam was in really great shape.

Da FAQ? I wound up having to use it despite buying a brand new primary bolt. But the Proper bolt was too large circumference and too long so I put the old one back in. Must have gone through a crank before or something.

Used a soldering iron and plastic bond epoxy to seal then sand the repair down to repair the tank. Then made sure I got all the water out, pulled and inspected the feed line and resealed the connection. Added a splash of heet to hunt down any that I may have missed.

Now to fix the holes in the bulkhead, clean and reline the belly pan. Went through 3 cans of degreaser and could still use 5 or 6 more.

First I need a volunteer to donate the plastic.

Found identical primary spring that was new from SLP for the primary and could not find a new secondary from SLP's Setup recommendation for their Triple exhaust setup. I did manage to find a Polaris Blue that was the second option from SLP but it was also discontinued. Also cleaned up the helix and put new buttons in. Everything else with the clutches seemed solid but I went over the faces with a scouring pad on a cordless drill to clean the clutch faces.

Replaced the brake handle with a new one for a Polaris ATV.

Inspected chain case bearings and replaced fluid and adjusted tension
Replaced Jack Shaft and bearing, repacked grease.

Cleaned up secondary and replaced buttons and spring
Cleaned up inspected primary and replaced spring
Adjusted Deflection and alignment of Clutches
Replaced headlight with LED

Replaced all 4 bumper caps (one still on the way)
Replaced front bumper
Replaced ignition switch
Added (originals missing) swing arm bumpers
Replaced Hood hinges, cable and reinforcement plate
Added (missing) clutch access plug.
Replaced seat cover
Replace airbox filter
Replace hood inlet shield.
Refinished hood screens
Refinished SLP High RPM Exhaust
Replaced all exhaust springs
Add Windshield Bag
Replace Gas Cap
Replace Skis with Grippers
Add Stud Boy 6' Shaper Bars
Add Pro Taper Handle bar hooks
Replace handlebar warmers
Added New OEM polaris skid plate
Added ODI 8' Hand Grips
Added 2 Dayco Belts
Replaced all exhaust springs.
Pulled, cleaned all carbs and verified in sync
