I have the C3 syncro drive on mine with 2.12:1 gearing and the 7 tooth drivers for the X3 track (which puts me at 2.42:1) and running the RK Tek Rev 1 drop in kit with a 13.1:1 head.. I think mine is geared too low and I have problems with hitting the DET sensor in the midrange when going in the trails from the parking lots (2300') to the mountains (5000').. I think I'm going to raise my gearing to the next highest ratio which will put me at 2.33:1 to see if it helps with the DET problem.
I had the RK Tek drop in kit before putting the X3 track and 7 tooth drivers on and only ever hit the DET sensor 1 time when playing with helix's on my secondary, but when after going to the 7 tooth drivers I hit it quite a bit in that circumstance..
Other than that problem, the gearing works well, but I don't think it needs to be quite that high!!

Are you in DET or hitting the rev limiter? I had the same kit with the 13.1, and below 5k I could hit it at will with 8k clutching, especially if snow was soft. If I clutched for 5k, it was gone. Rev limiter displays a dET code, but it's really over revving so fast it won't usually show on the tach, even in replay mode. Poo uses the dET message on the display for overrev. An overrev code will get stored in the ECM, and not a dET code, if it happens for a long enough duration. Just in case you're not aware...
I'll have to check the helix I am running; I cannot remember off hand what it is... However I definitely agree that the motor is not being loaded enough; when I'm running in the midrange and the motor is under load in the trees and powder, there are no issues with DET. It is only on the trails and in the midrange where it hits DET.
Forgot to take the other driver into factor on pitch though.
But the cat 8 tooth is bigger and going to the same 7 tooth it's a bigger difference which actually measures out to a 8.8 ish %, so it's confusing that the smaller 8 tooth 2.86 compared to the 7 tooth 3 pitch is a bigger percentage
Do you know the axys gear ratio with 3"
The cat secondary looks identical,
