Gas in crankcase

Anyone know why a 01 Edge has gas in the crankcase, just sitting in the garage? Leaky carb maybe?

Possibly leaking needle and seat. Was the back of the sled lifted so the track was off the ground?

It's been a while, but could the fuel pump be leaking fuel into the pulse hose which pulls from the crankcase on one side? If the fuel in the case doesn't match up with the pulse hose that wouldn't be it.

Rebuild the fuel pump. Buy rebuild kits on EBAY. Don't lite a match.

Thanks folks. It's for a friend, we rode one time this season then this happened. I'll encourage him to check those items.
