99 powder special 600 efi getting it going after 10 years of sitting.

I got a 99 powder special 600 efi that has been sitting for 10 years without getting started and i want to get it going again. I put fresh gas in it gaped the plugs and pulled on it tell it finally started but its got some issues. It will not idle at all second you let off the throttle it dies and the only way to keep it running when starting is to pull and hurry and push the throttle a little. Its also way down on power and has a bog at about half throttle. Where do i start on these issues ?

Check pipe and airbox for critter nests. Cracked reeds. Fuel pressure. Stator output. Throttle safety switch.

how bad of an idea would it be to run a can of seafoam through the sled? The gas had been drained but im sure there was still some in the fuel system.

I would do about a 1/2 can to a tank full.

was riding the sled around today was running great when all the suddent the sled started to bog and back fire any ideas what could all the sudden cause that? The sled will start and idle but wont rev without bogging and then will back fire.

how do you check the stator voltage i think it is the stator i checked the resistance and couldnt get anything between two of the wires.

where would be a good place to buy a stator for my sled? Doesn't sound like the aftermarket ones are any good.

i got one from RMstator its been working for a year now. put it in a 99 efi. the throttle safety switch can cause issues on these as well.

got the stator put in seems to work fine.
