05 M7 diamond drive toast!

Lost the planetary gear, transfer gear missing teeth and misc bearings and seals,
parts are going to run me $350. Anything cheaper out there?


Just changed oil in gear case 200 miles ago. Didn't pull the transfer gear out and inspect planetary, but I think problem started before I bought the sled. New to the diamond drive/arctic cat, suggestions?

Did you look at BDX they sell DD parts

just replace the drive with a bdx for 750 I think you will be money ahead at this point.

I hAVE AGOOD USED DD OUT OF A 06 M7. 200$

BDX drive and what he has are same. Rebuild using BDX parts or buy the used one for 200$ and go through it before using it. Check planetary closely as that is usually main cause of failure.

I can save some $$ on parts, but if it were me I'd buy the $200 one, if you got that & put new bearings & seals in it... you've got minimal $$ in, and a pretty safe unit.

J&L Snowhawk; The gear ratio on the one I have is 57/63, is the one you have the same? don't know if they made different ones for the M7.

I am looking to replace the bearings in my DD. here is the bdx kit.

The picture shows 4 bearings but I know I need 5. Has anybody used this kit on a 05 or 06 m7? Or have any input whether its the correct kit for my sled?
