Walker Evans rebuilds or revalves?

Pardon me if this have been brought up recently, I'm a little impatient.

Who does some revalving on the Walker Evans air shocks on the dragon RMK's?

I have heard of one place but can't remember. I want to make them a smidge stiffer as I'm 200+lbs. The stock while great on the trails around the midwest when you are standing up or leaning forward, side to side I just feel after a year they could be a bit stiffer/more resistent.

Just get some Fox shocks (Zero Pros or Floats) and sell the WEs to some other unsuspecting soul!

I have a set of the Factory-Walker Evans high flow pistons and firmer valve stack that I'll sell for $60 shipped for the pair.. (this is the piston with valves only... not the whole shocks)

Got these directly from John/Randy at Walker Evans. Should take good care of your needs. You would only need a simple service on the shocks and recharge them to 225 psi (10 psi more than stock)... rockin.. Any shop that can service shocks can take care of this... The WE Airs are the simplest shock design out there.

I believe these are the same pistons and valving that FasTrax is using.

As a note: Go to the hardware store and by a stick of $2 foam pipe insulation and cut it to length BEFORE you remove them from the sled... The shafts on those shocks can get knicked up very easily.

I have an extreem hatred toward anything Fox related. They may have some good products but 99% of it was and still is simply marketing genius.

I checked into Fastrax the other day. If mine are sent out I will send them there.. I was really skeptical, but they seemed to be very knowledgable. They had no problem disussing everything on the phone with me, and took some time out of their day.

I called Carls and they told me to throw em in the trash....

RJ at least give Fastrax a call before you make any decisions....

Figured Carls would say that since they live and breath FOX everything.

Sell the WE's to some one for the highest price you can and get some stock 05-08 shocks.

Are you fricken kidding me? I love the WE's but tried a set that was revalved a bit different for a person around my weight and it was a noticably better. That's why I want to do this. As for the shocks, you couldn't get me to put anything else on that sled.

To stiffen them up a tad (no where near the revavle like FTX or I'm selling)...
add 5cc (no more) for a total of 100cc for the front ski shocks and take them up to 225lbs of Nitrogen charge from the 215 stock.. more and you risk blowing out the shock.

The WE is the simplest shock out there, pretty good as a shock for most Mountain apps.
