Was wondering what the current conditions are like in the snowies? Albany lodge webcam shows no snow but was wondering if there is still any decent riding to be had. Any feedback and current pics is appreciated. Thanks

Unless you ride it today or possibly tomorrow its going to be mashed potatoes and then crusted. Going to be 50-60 deg and sunny on the mountain Thursday-saturday

Any update on the Snowys? Thinking about a last run out there. But 12 hours is a long way for hardback/crust. Did anyone ride today?

I didn't ride today but with it being cloudy and not to warm yet I bet tomorrow will be ok. We are supposed to see unsettled weather next week starting Sunday so we may yet get another good storm this season.

was up at cabin by Rob Roy over the weekend. Saturday was tee shirt weather and actually saw six jeeps on the west side of Rob Roy. Trail riding was fun. Woke up Sunday morning to 8-10" of fresh heavy snow.
Not the best powder of the year but still fun.
Creeks are stating to flow and went boating through a few of them.
NO CROWDS!

Looks like they got 6-8" at Albany and more than that up near Rob Roy. Could be a fun weekend but will go away fast after snow quits,

Its a month away but what are the odds of riding memorial weekend since that is the only time I can get a long weekend? And where would you park and ride it from the green rock area?

Looks like Med Bow snotel has 110" now plus they are forecast to get more. I am sure they will have plenty of snow to ride. I don't recall the expiration date of the sled permit or how well they enforce it.

I think we should head there this weekend. Never rode in May before. Now to pry some of my farming buddies away. Anyone else from Iowa want to go?.

The last day you can ride in the snowies is May 31st, that's a medicine bow national forest rule. By memorial day 130 will be open across the mountain, and there will be droves of people driving across it and stopping to look at the snowbanks.
