I found that RSI sells universal handwarmer switches and was thinking about removing that switch block from the left side and placing the switches down by the key. This way I can extend the grip a couple more inches. Has anyone done this? got any pictures of it all done?

Yes, I've moved my switches down to the lower panel next to the key.

It's really easy. Just pick your switch. Drill a hole of the appropriate size and mount the switch. Then pull the wiring down and over.

Using the upper part of the panel is best as this allows for the larger switch body to not hit the gas tank.

You can see the switches (2) above and behind the kill switch. I also have the thumb warmer switch mounted on the R side.

Nothing to it....
