Knock Sensor - can you test it?

Is there any way to test a knock sensor on a M8 to ensure it is working properly?

My sensor on my 2010 M8 was a slight tear in the rubber where the wires enter into the top of the nut/sensor. I silicon-ed it up, but want to make sure it is functioning properly. I cant find any specific test procedure in the shop manual.

not sure if this works on the sleds but at the gm stealership i am at there is a resistance spec of 93-107k ohms and then set the DMM to the 400 mV AC hertz scale thread into block and tap on the block with a nonmetalic tool and moniter the voltage you should see a change while tapping hope this helps
